The Australia–Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (AUCC) is proud to share that our organisation recently participated in the KoalaHub event in Melbourne, represented by Nicholas Janiw, Board Member of the AUCC. This marked an important step following the Chamber’s reinstatement earlier this year, as AUCC continues to strengthen the voice of our community and enhance business and professional connections between Australia and Ukraine.
The event was designed to support newly arrived members of the Ukrainian community by providing practical insights and guidance on navigating the Australian property market. Attendees had the opportunity to learn directly from real estate agents, mortgage brokers, banks, and legal professionals about the processes involved in purchasing property in Australia.
As part of the program, Nicholas Janiw delivered a presentation on the Melbourne city growth plan, highlighting the key drivers of capital growth and providing practical considerations around financial modelling when applying for a mortgage. His contribution underscored the opportunities available in Melbourne’s dynamic property sector and offered valuable guidance to community members looking to establish their future in Australia.
This initiative reflects the broader mission of Ukrainian community organisations in Australia — to provide support, networks, and practical assistance to Ukrainians who have recently arrived. The AUCC remains committed to fostering opportunities, sharing expertise, and supporting the integration of our community into Australia’s social and economic life.
We thank KoalaHub for hosting this important event and look forward to continuing to work with our partners to strengthen bilateral ties and support the Ukrainian community in Australia.
