During his visit to Melbourne for the 14th World Chambers Congress (14WCC), Gennadiy Chyzhykov, President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI), officially appointed Chrestyna Kmetj — Vice President of the Australia–Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (AUCC) and Director of Business & Multicultural Affairs at the AFUO — as the UCCI’s Representative in Australia.
This appointment highlights the growing partnership between Ukraine and Australia, opening new opportunities in trade, investment, and post-war reconstruction. President Chyzhykov reaffirmed Ukraine’s commitment to economic resilience, digitalisation, and high-tech growth, stressing that Australia is a key partner in Ukraine’s recovery.
Chrestyna’s leadership will strengthen ties between AUCC and UCCI, building on successful collaborations such as Australia’s support for Ukrainian grain exports and joint initiatives in defence technology. Her new role underscores the important contribution of the Ukrainian diaspora in connecting our two nations and supporting Ukraine’s future.
