The Australia–Ukraine Chamber of Commerce congratulates the Торгово-промислова палата України / Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the successful forum “World Ukrainians 2026: From Solidarity to Joint Action”, held on 27 May 2026 in Kyiv and online.

The forum brought together Ukrainian diaspora, business, government and community leaders from around the world to explore practical ways to strengthen global Ukrainian cooperation, support Ukraine’s recovery, and move from expressions of solidarity toward coordinated action.

It was an honour to see Australia represented in this important global conversation.

The forum included the participation of Paul Grod, President of the Ukrainian World Congress, who noted Australia’s role and contribution to this forum. He joined Gennadiy Chyzhykov, President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Valerii Korol, Vice President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Their participation reflected the importance of strong cooperation between Ukrainian diaspora, business and institutional leaders across the world.

Chrestyna Kmetj, Vice President of the Australia–Ukraine Chamber of Commerce and Representative of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Australia, joined Panel Discussion II: “The role of Ukrainian women in attracting investment to Ukraine and building Ukraine’s image in the world.”

Her presentation focused on how Australia–Ukraine cooperation is moving from solidarity into practical partnership — through business links, trusted diaspora networks, policy engagement, sector cooperation and investment-ready opportunities.

She also emphasised that women’s leadership in the diaspora is not symbolic, but practical. It opens doors, builds trust, connects institutions and helps shift Ukraine’s global image from victimhood to capability, resilience and commercial relevance.

The forum strongly reflected the importance of moving beyond expressions of support toward structured cooperation, trusted partnerships and practical joint action for Ukraine’s recovery and future growth.

The Australia–Ukraine Chamber of Commerce acknowledges the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the organisers, moderators and speakers for creating this important platform for global Ukrainian cooperation. AUCC looks forward to continuing its cooperation with UCCI to strengthen the international discourse on Ukraine’s recovery and to build practical opportunities for trade, investment, partnership and joint action.
